Individual Psychotherapy (i.e., intensive and short-term work with adults). I am trained in contemporary psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral approaches and work with a variety of problems including:
- Personality disorders
- narcissistic personality disorder / narcissistic issues
- borderline personality disorder
- schizoid and schizotypal personality disorders
- avoidant personality disorder
- Sleep disorders
- insomnia
- parasomnias (e.g., isolated sleep paralysis, sexsomnia, exploding head syndrome, nightmare disorder)
- Psychotherapy for psychologists and other mental health professionals
- Unusual and rare psychological disorders
- Treatment-resistant conditions (i.e., previous therapies have not been effective)
- Anxiety disorders (e.g., generalized anxiety disorder; social anxiety disorder; panic disorder
- Depression
- Impaired professionals
- Trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder
- Problems of meaning and purpose (philosophically-informed psychotherapy; existential therapy)
- Chronic and persistent mental illness (e.g., schizophrenia)
- Diagnostic evaluations (e.g., major mental health conditions; personality disorders; parasomnias)
- Differential diagnosis
- Assessment of unusual and rare psychological disorders
- Treatment planning for complex and/or treatment resistant problems
- PLEASE NOTE: I do not conduct evaluations for ADHD, learning disabilities, or autistic spectrum disorder
- Psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapy training and ongoing supervision for mental health professionals
- Consultation on difficult or unusual cases; clinical impasses
- Diagnostic training / workshops on accurate use of clinical interviews (e.g., SCID, ADIS, IPDE) and differential diagnosis
- Unusual and rare psychological disorders (e.g., sleep paralysis; sleep-related hallucinations; sexsomnia)
- Issues related to psychotherapy
- Differential diagnosis
- Professional issues in clinical psychology
- Consultation on various aspects of technical and professional writing
- Consultation on the process of academic publishing (e.g., how to get a book published)
- Psychotherapy fee = $225 per 50 minute session
- Standard diagnostic evaluation fee (i.e., assessing major mental health conditions) = $500 (i.e., a two-hour evaluation including oral diagnostic feedback and treatment recommendations)
- Personality disorder diagnostic evaluation fee = $750 (i.e., a three-hour evaluation including oral diagnostic feedback and treatment recommendations)
- General assessment fee = $250 per hour not including report writing
- Report writing fee = $250 per hour, prorated
- Psychotherapy supervision fee = $225 per 50 minute session
- Workshop fee = contact for rates
- Consultation / Expert Witness Testimony = contact for rates
- I do not accept insurance, but many people are able to be partially reimbursed through insurance companies by listing me as an out-of-network provider (check with your particular insurance company and/or your enrollment documents)
- Please note that, under certain circumstances, I will accept a lower rate if there is a clear need and schedule availability
